Thats exactly what i do to Jaye! top left, quick links on computer, 3 lines on phone and probably tablet. I also use the active posts link in there once the threads in new posts disappear.

Personally, I use Quick Links/Unread Posts, or New Posts, so I don't have to wade through the list of all posts and possibly miss a post that I want to read.
Actually Facebook I have everything hidden and only want I want to show up in my news feed. This right here, right now is crazy!! Everything is new, and some are red, but then some are red and moving like scrolling ...then some are black and scrolling lol.

Oh and good news I read on my Facebook - Jpod (Southern Resident Orcas) has had their 8th birth since Dec last year. That's friggin amazing considering their is only 9 fertile females in the pod.

But I'm still not interested in the typical Facebook usage. Just love all my activist, conservationist and natural news all in one spot. Highly convenient I will admit.

Here's what I've figured out so far :
Red circle with paragraph icon inside means Unread (by you) thread, or thread with New posts
Black circle with paragraph icon inside means Read (by you) thread
Circle with rolling paragraph icon inside means Popular Active thread (thread with lots of activity)
Circle with paragraph (rolling or static) icon and red asterisk inside means a thread that you have posted to
Hope that helps a bit.

Yay jaye!!! Absolutely correct thats what it means. Sandy if you dont want to see all the red just mark all posts as read from the menu bar on the top right when you are in the root forum menu (where it lists the threads like good morning etc or one level higher at the menu for in the hen house). It says mark all posts as read on the right. The circle goes black. * you posted.... scrolling -popular post

Good Morning,
Another day on Free range, I must be saving a mint on feed and fertilizing in place for next year.
Going to pick up Christmas turkeys tomorrow.... YeY
and after that a bit of snow would be OK with me.
Have a good one.

Look Kathy!!

For some reason I can't send in pm a picture ... But there they all are!! Together and eating. 2 feeders but must eat off ground and out of one feeder haha!

The gate is open so they have access to both sides .. They travel together. Such a great day!

She's the one opposite black silk at feeder. My other two porcelains are scratching straw for crack. Had to share! I'm just thrilled!
