The last 8 from my hatch three weeks ago leave for their new home today and I have a bunch of new fuzzy butts to take their place.:) Have a Wonderful Day everyone.

Good Morning!
Morning everyone! yep, still morning. barely. lol. some brownies in the oven cooking, smell wonderful-birthdays at work this coming week for a couple of the students....always do something for them at the lab meeting monday. and of course, a pan for home because it's just not fair to the hubby to make the house smell wonderful and then say "um, no"....LOL so. get those out of the way for the day and then out to enjoy the weather outside before it starts pouring rain again tonight. won't be any shortage of water going down the thames river in the next few days apparently! the river is already up about 3 meters, pretty neat to see, but keeping the dogs way far away from it. sun is shining right now, looks like a good day to brush some small horses out of the big horses, and finish moving birds around. my order for a skid of shavings didn't get delivered yesterday, so the last of the pen cleaning will have to happen next weekend. Hubby is putting the all seasons on the truck right now, taking off the winters. and today is moving day for some youngsters from the basement pen (cornish and one barred rock girl), out to the barn. then going to spread the rest of the manure up on the closed off paddocks, let the rain do its job tonight. the grass is growing like crazy, hopefully the hay consumption will slow down soon. LOL. i have to get started on the fencing around the garden too sometime soon. looks like a few more below 0 nights so a little bit yet before the hose goes out to the greenhouse and all the little seedlings head out...maybe another week or two. just locked down the next set of turkeys and cornish to hatch on wednesday. trying the 1C drop again for the cornish. it worked great for the turkeys, so fingers crossed for the cornish too! okay, better check on the brownies so i don't burn them.....and then head outside once they're done. nice and sunny and warm! love this weather.

Good Morning!
Happy Easter, everyone! Gorgeous day today, baby goats and calves in the barn, baby chicks in the brooder, chicken seeds in the incubator, plant seedlings taking over my kitchen, and hints of new green poking up in the pasture. Ahhhh, spring and new life, what Easter's all about!

Good Morning!
Happy Easter all,
Was feeling a bit sorry for myself this wknd, much planned not much done and apparently I shouldn't expect full use of my wrist after the cast comes off?
But after reading everyone's exciting news, feeling better already, inspired by Kathy, put a poppy seed loaf in the oven,
the house smells good, the fog has burned off and sun is shining, can't get an optimist down after all :)
So Thanks for the chick stories and have a sunny one!
ps, and while I was posting Al added a kitten, so Thanks for the kitten Al...:)
