Try again shirley! lol
beautiful day. They said 2c. We are now at 6. Sunny. Nice and warm in the barn. Setting up new breeding groups, checking every bird and treating whatever as needed, trimming nails, checking for frostbite damage and torn nails and spurs, bare backs from moulting or treading, cleaning pens yadda yadda. Hubby is spreading manure and loading the trees with the nice black stuff from the bottom of the pile. So hopefully by tonight the majority of new breeders will be set up, clean bedding, waterers all washed and clean and feeders filled to the top and everyone happy. Even the dog is flaked out in the sun just enjoying. Wish weekends were longer!! Especially the ones with nice weather.

It was a beauty day!! Even tho it WAS cold. That breeze, just takes the fun out of a nice sunny day. For a long time this morning, even with the sun out, the many snow drops had their heads in the dirt/grass, lol.

Well, March Break is over!! Back to the buses again. And, cold mornings going out for a few. The next couple weeks looks like anyhow. Oh well, the night time runs should be milder.

Going to feed a pollen patty to the bees sometime this week.. when its mild enough to quickly open the box, and squish one in. Now that they have been out and active.... this cool couple weeks will find them wanting 'more'.

Looking forward to meeting SandyM tomorrow, if she makes it, for those sweet potato slips.

Well, I guess I'd better not forget to set my alarm tonight!

Well Monday back to work after a lovely weekend. Had a nice meet up with some PTO members this weekend and Sunday was spent cleaning my back deck and putting some of the deck chairs out, they may get snowed on this week but can just take them into the house quick. Starting cleaning out my gardens, wow so many things have started to grow, LOVE spring flowers.

Here's my deck, think Spring!! LOL

Can't remember where but one town in the US has a huge problem with abandoned pet roosters! When people found they couldn't keep a rooster along with their backyard chickens they just cut them loose. A few hens got loose too and there you go!

LOL free range chickens-wouldn't that be south america ross? don't they have "wild" domestic chickens running around down there? LOL

Beautiful day yesterday....all weekend really. I had a lot of fun on saturday! great to see people, meet people. then yesterday was a lot of pen cleaning and bird prissing and moving. a little bit of disquiet, but they'll settle. amazingly, i am walking today and not feeling that bad at all! yay! maybe, just maybe something is getting better slowly in my back. i don't want to say that too loudly, but i really didn't think i'd be able to do anything at all today. so that's looking up.

onwards to another week. they're calling for snow here. just a little bit. but i think it's too warm for that right now LOL. (like i have any say, really)....my daffodils should be blooming in a few days. my crocuses are almost finished! cleaned some of the stubble out of the gardens yesterday, but still lots more to do. and tonight i really really want to get some seeds planted! at least for the peppers and tomatoes!
hope everyone has an awesome day!
