Flying visit with Bert (Baron) this morning! Hope for a SAFE less foggy drive back!!!! Sweet potato shoots are safely in his hands :-) i hope i packed enough...um....my last count was 5 people, so there are i think 7 packages....each with 5 or so rootlets. Just put them in water for a couple of days and then pot them up.....don't plant until all danger of frost is gone-they're not frost hardy. Sandy, FRF and Al, i still have lots, and i may be going to BVF this weekend sandy, FRF, if you guys want me to bring some. i haven't finalized things yet...

Really foggy in my area this morning. Kinda like it.....nice and quiet and the roosters don't start until about 6. Don't forget the time change this weekend. jetlag for a few days! whoohoo!

well, grant writing season again. another to submit by end of day tomorrow. lots of computer work today. after some more appointments. putting miles on the car today! hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!

Well my morning so far has been an adventure! Standing waiting for the bus this morning I could hear the cows bellering away for their breakfast, they sounded oddly close though. In the fog I couldn't see from the house where exactly the sound was coming from. Went over right away to find all 14 cows and 10 claves and Hamish the bull in the pasture with the horses! it is foggy and rainy and really muddy here so there I was in my nightgown and long johns and rubber boots (I lost the coat, way to hot) running around the field by myself trying to separate everyone and of course the horses all think it is great fun to chase all the new calves and the moms are madly trying to stay with their calves. I managed to get it all sorted out with a few choice words and some carefully placed kicks, I even threw some clods of mud that made perfect contact with the butts I was trying to shoo through the gate! None of this would have happened however, if my husband had latched the gate last night! He clearly said to me "you go finish giving hay to the horses and I will latch this gate when I go back through with the tractor" ..... good thing he is at work and I will have had enough time to cool my jets by the time he gets home. Now hot shower and even hotter coffee! Have a great day everyone. :cowmuh:

Here's my girl.Summer. Year old She's not supposed to be on the bed, she has her rubber chicken with her which is now headless and crowless. I guess she didn't like it talking back to her. She also is not supposed to be on the couch.

:)))
Kenya, it's quite clear who is in charge of things, it's the same here, toys and men of the house, same thing.
WCG night shirt/or pajamas and rubber boots worn while casing a herd, are integral part of animal husbandry. ;)
Beautifully foggy here at 5 AM.
