That'a what we are here for! ;)
Full disclosure here, Lucky two, is nothing as brave as his good old dad, "Lucky", now residing and protecting flock at KB's.
He is more of a supervisory type, he feels very strongly that a) the hens should be all in one place and b) when first rain drop falls or largish crow passes a bit low overhead, they should really all be inside.
He is also of the very unusual variety of Rooster who understands that when hens says no, she means NO WAy and he respects that.
In case you are actually considering him, I am happy to keep him until end of April.

Yes the hens love Lucky as well. Every time I've tried to give him a rest from them and vice versa I've had to put them back together because I get a bunch of very PO'd hens. BUT with Lucky he isn't a cuddly pet rooster, you need to let him do his job.

I will really think about it. Don't save him for me if you have the chance to sell him.

I have always been drawn to your birds and would love to get a few of your hens eventually. I swore after the last poop of a rooster I had I would not get anymore. For me I haven't had the big desire to breed. Maybe it comes from my doggy background where there are just so many unwanted puppies. It is pretty easy for me to get more pullets with out having to produce my own. With not wanting to have roosters the chance of ending up with a whole bunch becomes a problem. Hubby and I are at the point where we have downsized the animals that tie us to the farm. We want the chance to travel whenever we feel like it. The girls or the neighbours can happily look after a few layers, and I accept the risk of losing a few of my inexpensive mutts if something goes wrong while we are away. Asking them to watch out for babies and broodies gets more complicated.

But these do tempt me a little.

We always watch Muppets Christmas Carol at Xmas - our cat got his name from the cat at the beginning! And Muppets Treasure Island is a fave!

The Muppets Christmas carol is a fav here too...my daughter and I still watch every year...the frustrating thing is they seem to edit it on the TV pretty heavy now. The banter between Rizzo and Gonzo still makes me laugh. "I'm omniscient"
and of course, "Light the lamp not the rat".

Think I figured out the egg eating issue. Went out this morning and Miss Guilty is full on dust bathing in the nest box. Think she broke some doing this before and then ate the eggs. Luckily today four nice eggs in the OTHER nest box.
