This is for all you tinkerers out there ( hint Al ) but I'm looking at finding a synchronous motor at 110v running at 1 rpm appx. I can order one but it wont get here til end of april and i need one before then. And from china no less, its like nothing is stocked anymore. Help. So unlike me. :sAng_banghead:

Robbie, yes i could gear a faster motor down but to 1 rpm would take a serious reduction. The motors are available and really inexpensive ( appx 10$ ) but long delivery times...i found one in the states online but they only ship within the US, so i guess its time to head to ogdensburg...again...sigh

How big a motor do you need, could an egg turner motor or barbecue turner motor work?
Hee hee You're going to have to spill the beans on what you are building :pop: inquiring minds want to know!

princess auto has them. at least they did in Sarnia a while back when I built my last incubator. thats what im using for my turner. I have it hooked up to a a small gear n chain to larger gear that runs the push rod. I got the gears n chain off of one of those small blue razer scooters.

also iv used them out off bbq rotisseries with a higher rpm... it dosent make any difference really as long as the eggs get that movement every 6 hours or so.
