Out of the mouths of babes

Post by kdms » Tue Dec 15, 2015 11:26 am

Out of the mouths of babes...

5yo frustrated with his 2yo sisters perceived rudeness: "It's bad to be rude. We should just get rid of all rude people like we did Cogburn."

Cogburn the Buckeye rooster went out for processing yesterday with the other meat birds because no matter what we did, we couldn't get his OCD aggressive behaviour to stop.

At some point, when I stop laughing, we'll have to have a discussion about why we don't walk around carrying electroshock knives, regardless of how effective it would be in inducing good behaviour. :rofl1:

And here I was a little concerned about how he'd take the whole chicken processing thing.

Thanks to everyone who chimed on on my previous PSO question about what to do with a bad bird....after removing two roosters (one rehomed and one culled) my hens are starting to relax, and the dorkings have started to lay again after stopping completely three weeks ago....which was when the roosters started acting up.

I found that when I had one rooster who was nasty the girls stopped laying too. He went away.
