Chicken with prosthetic leg

Post by Colleen Kinzie » Thu Jan 21, 2016 9:08 am

Just reading issue of backyard poultry
This hen had a slipped tendon that was neglected
Had leg amputated
She has even found her place back up in pecking order and has started laying again
Only thing she can't do is scratch in the dirt
Quite a lucky chicken I think!

I once had a serama rooster who had to lose his foot... He probably would have liked a prosthetic!
