Deer got hit by a bus early this morning as it jumped across a main road. It smashed through the windshield and the impact also broke the farebox baseplate, very solid steel. It ran though the bus, injured and frantic, broke a steel hand post and some window glass trying to escape. Fortunately no passengers aboard and driver was unharmed except for shock. She had been on the job 6 months. Witness said it to be about a 120 LB deer, not real big. Bambi eventually succumbed to her injuries.
