In follow up to the "STRINGMAN'S SCRAPBOOK", by Marion R. Nash posting last week, another great book for the true and passionate Poultry and Pigeon fancier to try and get a hold of, is "GREAT CANADIAN POULTRY & PIGEON FANCIERS AND THEIR EXHIBITIONS", by James M. Gryner. This book has over 580 pages of stories, pictures, show and club reports, etc., dating back more than 50 years, all related to some of our greatest exhibitors, breeders, shows, judges etc. As far as I know, there are only 100 (limited) first edition copies. Oh, now you are just teasing, although I am pretty sure I would be happy with something less fancy then limited edition

It's not only the wonderful books, it's also the Authors behind them, I have an Encyclopedia of PIGEON by Wendel M. Levi
and every time time I open it I admire not only the beautiful pictures and the history behind the breeds, but the incredible amount of work that went in to putting together an amazing book like that.

Excellent book OC and Jeff, I have this great book also and we are lucky to have this! Wonder how much that is worth now? Pete.

Around $120, it's worth every single penny of that!!

The Pigeon by Levi is also very good, pigeons bred and shown in north America came out about 10 years ago very good as well and you can't go wrong with the 2010 NPA book of standards
