Another breed to google!

My latest chicken Google search is Swedish flower chickens, so nice. Some remind me of Speckled Sussex or colours similar to Millefleurs while others look like they are mixed with red laced chickens. The history is interesting, they were not bred to look that way, they just ended up like that, they are an old breed.

One day I will talk about turkeys KB, I was surprised by how large a BST Tom at an auction was, smaller than other turkeys but I wouldn't want one to jump off something and land on me! Lol.

They aren't that small! Sometimes they just truck across your foot and you know it!

I used to have them, sold a couple to BVF and the remainder of my flock to Bodabing. They were not great layers, well at least the ones I had, plus I needed the pen space for more EO's :hide:

They are very pretty birds! Another cool landrace is Icelandic chickens. Like Sf, there's no standard and each is unique. I've got a bantam pen full of home bred mutts that look like if Swedish Flowers and Icelandics got together to take over the world lol. There is a goal in mind, I swear, but right now no two birds are exactly alike. Thanks to Killerbunny, I call them Jewels lol
