well its been a little over a year since I finished this. well I guess thats a lie because its really not finished yet. most of the things I listed that needed to be finished still are not been finished yet. but meh the birds are still happy! the pond holds water and has continued to hold water ever since I dug it deeper and filled it back up after the drought. the overflow works perfectly and it hasnt flooded again. I still havent finished the windmill pump but I have all the pieces n parts to do it for the biological filter pond n waterfall. BUT it didn't stink at all so thats the main point. it did get a little green there in the summer but all was well. I have added an automatic water system with poultry nipples, which I didnt drain before it froze and blew apart, I'll fix that in the spring, it needed to be drained for winter anyways.

hmmmmm the drought sure killed my attempt to reseed with the timothy hay and the run is now 93% mud, oh well we knew that was coming. I need to set up an electric fence, thats my next big job out there. loosing 35 birds to the coon was devastating and really set me back in this years breeding program and in the egg department. :-( traps are set with bacon grease but so far no more coons. knock on wood.
well I think thats about it for now.... have good one!
