Good Morning!
Morning everyone
Haven't been in the morning thread since Sunday I think? And it's pages advanced already. Awesome!!! Will have to read later if I get a chance to catch up.
3 new Guineas from BVF. Month olds. Past easy kill age she says . I'm not taking that as a challenge lol. They finally made some racket when we went in the barn. It's loud for sure but not as loud as I was expecting.
I hate wasp season! They are everywhere. I put some fall sugar water out for the honey bees and the wasps are all over it. So much for that. Ava has a personal vendetta for wasps ... She's been stung a few times, fat lip but hasn't learned.
Start a new course next week run by Hamilton Police. Community Police College. It's for 6 weeks I think. I love to learn but I'm so busy I can't handle a big brain load right now lol, so hopefully there isn't any homework HAHAH.
Went to a Norwex party with Shirley last night. Anyone want in and out of somewhere quick? Take BVF with you. It was excellent. I was worried i was going to get home at the crack of dawn, but Shirley to the rescue after 10 minutes. HILARIOUS! And we got back home without having to call Gary because I kept her keys. And I didn't have to jump her to get them. Nothing quite like a cooperative BVF! Hahaha :)
Well off to the accountants today, I'm still wrestling with Rev Can and their HST audit. They can kiss my ass, I know what is allowed
And what isn't but I suppose the HST bank is empty after moving Little Potatos friends up to Ottawa from Toronto. So screw everyone is in order! What a joke! They're trying to tell me my 2500 Denali that hauls heavy equipment is a passenger vehicle so I can only write off $3900 HST. Pffft whatever. Google the vehicle before you put that
in writing and look stupider than normal. I hate dealing with Rev Can so I'm passing it off the accountant now before I lose my
and put my thoughts in writing. Oh and they're denying the HST portion of my legal fees to incorporate the business, minute book etc. Clearly someone over there has no frigging clue what they are doing, the lack of brain power is astounding!
Well, now that my feathers are ruffled. Time to finish coffee and get everyone set up for the day.
Have a good one!

Good Morning!
i don't think we could claim the HST back when my hubby's business incorporated either sandy.....but let your accountant loose, they'll figure it all out! i am so relieved i use an accountant now for tax time. i still do the books and HST, but that's going to change soon....LOL it's not worth losing my sanity over the loopholes inside loopholes!
another morning! another beautiful sunrise!
this weekend the red palm turkeys are off to a good home!
that will leave me with an empty pen. Then the munchkins in the basement MUST go out to the coop, so that coop needs to gets cleaned out and disinfected....these birds are all a custom hatch for someone else who is still building their coop....hopefully it's done soon-these little beasts are totally feathered in already, in just 4 weeks! incubators are going on again tonight for another custom hatch, eggs arriving on thursday it sounds like. being shipped from afar, so hopefully they will be not too scrambled!
busy weekend coming up and it's only wednesday! first i have a presentation to give tomorrow at work (but they feed me lunch, so it's a fair trade i think) and then a grant to get gone by the end of tomorrow (hopefully it will be gone today though). argh, windows did an update and now my track pad is doing all kinds of weird things. why can't they just leave everything alone!!!!!
and this weekend is mount forest weekend! i hope everyone going has a great time!!!!!

Good Morning!
Good morning everyone!! Busy time here. Doing the silo filling... and a wagon tongue got broke last night, so Gary and Marv went off to Listowel to get another. That will have to be put on... they painted it last night, as it was freshly made, and not painted yet. At least the place left a can of paint.
Not our wagon either... a borrowed one, of course. So... that little piece of iron, will be in the hundreds of $$. Likely around 5-$600. Ouch.
So.... just finished my coffee, and going out to turn on lights, and Jess is going to take me for the truck and livestock trailer, and home to unhook the trailer, and off for feed and get the silage plastic. Laying tires on later is always a nice chore. NOT. I ache already for two weeks, in anticipation of it all. Its also nice, when the wind blows... and you have a piece of plastic thats 60x80 feet blowing overtop of you, and you try and hold it down with your body. Fun. At least the tires shouldn't really be filled with TOO much water, but of course, it has rained fairly substantial for that... but not for the ground.
Yeh... last night was fun. We did a quick farm tour, and off to the party. Gary wanted the Durango to take to Listowel... but I basically told him to forget it. Not the first time it was brought up.... so the last time he made the suggestion... it was a clear flat out FORGET IT.
I handed over the keys to Sandy asa I got out of my side of the vehicle. Then basically screeched at her not to lose them, LOL. She said I just jinxed her, but all was well. After about 1/2 hr into the presentation... and there were only 4 guests there besides the host and us two.... I asked if we could just have our stuff process'd, because Sandy came a long way, we'd heard the speal before.... and wanted to get the birds... blah blah blah. I think one may have been affronted...and the gal with Norwex kind of looked uncomfortable... but well... it is what it is. We both spent money, so its not like we just came/saw/left.
Tonight I have to go to the Rockton Fair grounds to learn how to use the NEW cash and debit machines. Why can't they just leave stuff the same, for crying out loud. I hate handling money, and machines, and more than once last year screwed things up. Ugh.
At least I put chili in the crockpot when I got home... and its been bubbling away on low since 10pm last night. Lunch is taken care of!!
Have a great day!

Good Morning!
Hubby is away for three weeks so this old girl is manning everything solo. I was feeling overwhelmed trying to get all the canning and winter food storage done. Do all the farm chores and run after two little kids everyday. Tonite I'm dropping hay from the loft which is challenging cause I am terrified of heights. My pain in the butt goat Heidi always stands up on the ledge and reaches her head through the ladder waiting for the new hay. She seems to think it is way better then the hay that is already in her feeder. This has never caused a problem before tonite. The hay string hooks over one of her horns as the bale is falling and her feet slip off the ledge. I now have a goat hanging half way down the ladder with a 60 lb bale on her head and her head through the ladder and she is strangling and this pudgy old gal is up in the loft. You needed to be there for the full effect but I climb down the ladder to Heidi, lift the weight of the bale in one hand, whilst holding on to the ladder with the other hand for dear life (remember afraid of heights) kick off my shoe and reach over to the knife on the wall with me toes and manage to get the bale string cut. The bale goes everywhere and the goat drops to the ground and proceeds to eat the hay while I cling to the ladder recovering from my mini heart attack at the thought of my goat dyeing. I'm sure I coulda made money selling tickets to that show, "Crazy old lady saves goat" we must have look ridiculous. Heidi is now content cause she has an entire bale of hay and I surprized myself at what I can handle without help when I need to. Now time to relax with a cup of tea and my dogs out on the porch, it is a beautiful evening.

Good Morning!
Holy cow. And here I was impressed that I didn't have complete melt downs at accountant and the lawyers Office today.
You win! That's quite the story and thanks for the visual and somehow Wendy I can totally picture that happening, even if hubs was home it likely would of went down the same way...
Love a good story and an awesome ending. Enjoy that tea! You definitely deserve it

Good Morning!
NO GOATS!!!! and this, ladies and gentlemen, is precisely why i will never have goats. LOL. I'm glad everyone is okay, no one died, or got maimed! Funny story though, after the fact!!!! congrats on getting out of it in 1 piece, plus 1 goat! (and secretly i'm glad to hear someone else uses their feet/toes to do the odd thing here and there LOL)
good morning everyone!
RAINING (deserves capitals). started at about 8pm last night, with those nasty gusty winds...so i "raced" (Ha, ya, like i can race anywhere right now) to the barn and got the doors and windows closed before the pelting down rain started, and then got caught in it on the way back "racing" to the house. Needed to change when i got in! Just soaked! and it let up long enough after dinner to get to the barn and start chores and then started up again...so i hung out, swept the barn, talked to the critters and cleaned up until it wasn't pounding on the steel roof any more and "raced" back to the house again....and it rained ALL NIGHT. it's still raining this morning. LOL. this is one SLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWW moving system! hopefully no one floats away today...after such a long dry summer now i think i might need waterwings for the animals!
got the one grant in yesterday. today is a presentation over pizza lunch....if i work it right i can turn it into a 10 minute presentation and 50 minute discussion....lol. it's a training exercise for the students really-how to effectively read scientific literature...so discussion is good. and then back to writing grants and MAYBE moving into my next new office. i hope this is the last move in a LONG while.
hope everyone has an awesome day!
