WaupoosCowgirl, no wonder my uncle had a rifle at the back door. There's a lot of 'yotes in Prince Edward County, now they know where they can find a meal. Better teach them a lesson: some hot lead is good (unless neighbours are close). You knock one off and the smell of death will linger in their minds whenever they go by your place. In New York State hunting deer is shotgun or arrows only: no rifles. So the bullet manufacturers did good work with slugs: flies accurate 200 yards then drops like a football. I can still see the ad from Remington: hits em like a brick wall (or was it a ton of bricks?).

oh ya haha thats a dime. no thanks I dont need any horse flies! HAHAHA now thats something I dont miss about the old place at all. LOL

see the problem with this temperature and possibly the reason why is because... I drained and hooked up a sand filter to the pool, then refilled it. now I have a sweater on. darn it! see we got a little 12'×30" pool when it was darn hot out. Hailey (youngest daughter) got it for her bday. best investment ever especially when it was hot out. all was well for a while there and then it became a battle with algae. were still learning the whole chlorine thing. but the pump and filter unit that came with the pool was pretty much useless, pump was great but the filter sucked. so now the pump is just pumping through the sand filter and I think I may have finally won. except now im wearing a sweater. GRRRRRRR

Just di the second case of bumblefoot this week. Very sudden onset in both birds but one is the girl with the broken and twisted foot, the others foot is odd too. Makes them put pressure on the other foot.

Oh no KB. Assuming you've done the surgery a before? I have yet to come across this and will gladly avoid at all costs.

WHAT A MORNING!! More more more!! Windows open, house cooled down nicely. (Not that it hadn't before AC was on) but something great about open windows, despite allergies. Sniff sniff.
I'm on the front porch having a coffee and dogs are being dogs.

Medical stuff today. Not sure if auction is up my alley today. Might just come home and make apple sauce, jarred pears and/or pear jam.

Pears need a little more ripening so maybe Sunday. Going to lay them out and hope the sun brings on that little more tenderness you want in a good jarred pear.

Hope everyone had a great day. It's Friday. It's cool and the long weekend is here!

Cheers
