Good Morning!
Just visited WWW and Richard in SF at their stall. Nice job guys. The stall is really nice to display the produce well and looks professional, thanks for the beans and canteloupes (had forgotten what real cantaloupe smelled like.
AND thanks to Kathy for the soap YAY. A cute sheep and a PTO logo, great job.

Good Morning!
Good Morning,
I don't normally get to excited over movies, but I just watched the trailer for "A dogs purpose". It made me cry. I guess I will be going out to see a movie for the first time in over 15 years this coming January. I wish I knew how to post a link so I could share with you all. If you wanna get misty eyed, just Google it. have a good everybody.

GOOD Morning!!
Not a drop of rain here, although it poured downtown.

DH processing two cockerels for Labour Day weekend dinner, just had two this past wknd, absolutely delicious tender and juicy with our potatoes, stolen of the top of the hills, tops still green so not digging them up yet.
Cockerel wars are starting so spending hours staring to see if I have something decent to sell, probably will put together a nice trio of Blue Ameraucanas and FIRST TIME EVER, I may be able to put together a trio of Blue Columbian Wyandottes, how cool is that?
Well up and at it, have a perfect sunny cool day!

Good Morning!
Finally! Chantelle's grey horse, Eyesa Wild Boy, broke his maiden yesterday at Ajax Downs, after 7 second place finishes! Broke well from the gate and poured it on at the end for a solid win :)
Henry (Eyesa Wild Boy) was in the #7 hole.

The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.

Good Morning!
Very nice dean!! Congrats chantelle!!!
Good looking horse!
Well...quick visit from bvf and her hubby this weekend for our community pig roast. Yum. Taits schoolhouse is 125 years young this year!!
Hope farrier feels better soon-didnt manage to get together for dinner saturday. Darned shingles!!! Feel better really soon colin!!
Lots done this weekend. Have 4 more pens to clean otherwise 11 are done. Turkeys are done. Horse stalls all clean. Hatch is a day early- but 8 fuzzybutts to the brooder already...more pipped. Was outside and thinking i thought our walkway was wider....lol. stripped grass along the edges and discovered another foot in width and reclaimed almost a foot around the edges of the patio too. Looks much neater now!! Got the black beans picked...not shelled yet....something to do in the evening sometime.
Today is a day off for me. Trying in vain to get my back to bend in a direction it really resists. Irritating. I can still touch my nose to my knee stretching but it takes a good 10 minutes of creaking and groaning to get there lol. 10 bags of cooked pureed pumpkin to the freezer for pies in the winter. Freezers are cleaned out....need to get the hot peppers harvested. Thanks for cukes bvf!!! Idian corn is doing great. Sweet corn is all done. Have a few more pumpkins out there but might feed to chickens. Theyre at least 2 months early!! Soon acorna and butternuts will be ready. Yum. More tomatoes....might start doing target practice lol. Homemade ketchup is awesome!!!
So...onwards. waiting on a delivery-hubby is at the road on the atv because no one finds this place first try. Ever. Ah...sounds like its here!! Whoohoo!!!!! Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning!
Today is a nice day....although its going to be a hot humid one again. Was watching the bull from above... well, all the cattle really, but with his broad back, he supports so many more horn flies, which literally are a CLOUD on their backs. I went down with a fly spray soaked rag, and tried to do his back/shoulders. Succeeded more or less, and did a few friendly cows. All he was doing was swinging his head back and forth... expending too much energy on keeping them off. Will have to get a back scratcher with the fly spray thing and rag... ours just has the brush.
Did the horses down too... after the chores, and having a coffee now. Back is kind of sore, so nursing it a little. Want to go clean up the garden some... cucumbers (first planted), are all blighted/done... and want to manure that stretch, work it in.. and sprinkle down oats for a cover crop. Probably should go pick more beans. Pulled up the first planted rows... but the other short row is still going strong.
Well, better go do something. Like dig a hole. GAWD, why haven't I done that job.
