Ottawa got a few big storms this morn and since its been a nice slow drizzle.

We've had it come thru in downpours lasting maybe half hour every other hour or so with bright blue open sky between..drenched the two month olds out in the pen..lol...they didn't care..and the ground soaked it all up...yay!!!!

It was a big day. Strange too, lol. Melissa WAS having contractions, but she wasn't sure if they were the real deal, but she had some bleeding.

They go in, and got in their room about 11am. Shes 8cm and 100% effaced. A little while goes by with some tense contractions, and they thought they would break her water, to really get things going.

Contractions stopped. She was having light ones... but the monitor was the ones saying she was having them, lol. Well, they told her the baby was down far enough to push. They had to tell her when to push. All she said, was she felt light pressure. She pushed hard for an hour only. So.. from start 9:15am when she thought she was having contractions, to the time of the birth, 3:54pm. Pretty darn good for a first timer. No drugs or alcohol, lol.

Big baby. 9lbs, 1 oz. Here he is!! So proud of my little girl!!
