Good Morning!
Good morning!
Finally see my grass seeds germinating in the chicken runs, the ground was completely bare after the breeding group was there way too long, so once they went, raked the straw in to windrows, and over-seeded
Interestingly enough, the Timothy /Alsack is about 1/2" tall, Lambs quarters on the other hand grew 6" overnight, and here I thought there was nothing there. :)
Big move today, chicks in the basement for 10 days have overstayed their welcome, there is fluff moving thru the room, never a good sign.
Have a good one and do not miss Barak Obama on Jimmy Fallon, Sandy posted.
Guaranteed belly laugh :)

Good Morning!
One step forward one step back. So I paid $1500 to fix/maintain my tractor. Then other bills came in, then I made a few sales so when I get paid (in three weeks) I'll be back on track. Then the VW has engine problems (assume head gasket $800). Dagnabbit, the car couldn't wait three weeks to break?

Good Morning!
Morning Y'all.
Off to the BST this morning in Grassie. Why does everything have to be so damn early. Hopefully I come home empty handed. I'll out the blinders on, but if there are a few ducklings or Guinea fowl I could be in trouble.
It cooled down nicely over night, which is good. I won't be sweating buckets @ 7am on site.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Cheers,

Good Morning!
Good morning!
Chicks in the barn brooder last night, me babysitting 1 AM, just in case........
They were comfortable last night, but there was some huddling this morning under the heat lamp, need the sun to come out to warm up the barn, doesn't look very promising though.
Heard the wind coming in last night, it sounded like a train bearing down on the house, a bit disconcerting, wouldn't want to live thru a tornado.
So one more day of cold and then back to summer? The chicks would really appreciate some of that.
Time to vacuum the basement to get rid of the dust bunnies, or would they be dust chicklets?
Have a safe one!

Good Morning!
It's that smell as you come down the stairs, my 2 new turkey babies are putting up quite the dust too. These are the 2 from the deserted nest and both have made it to a week. Vian has named the last one RD2 (Runty Dude 2) since we already have an RD1 although he's not so runty anymore!

Good Morning!
Well, went to the BST sale, where Sandy was going to be.
She certainly KNOWS now, what a freak I am. I will let her explain, because she has a better way with words than I do.
I am never leaving home again. Ever.
