I often order and drive down to NY to pick up.
So do you have a private drop box there or is there a landing point you can have stuff sent to? For us Watertown NY is is not too far away, so if I can get it sent there that might work.
I have a mailing address at MyUSAdress in Ogdensburg, NY (www.myusaddress.ca) you sign up for free and they give you a unit number and then have my shipments sent there and then drive over and pick up. The pick up charge is $5US for each order, but I fill up with cheap US gas and they give you a bridge pass so all is good.

@JimW , I'm curious about the "bridge pass": Does that mean you don't have to pay toll fees?

They give you a toll pass so you do not have to pay the bridge toll on your way home, still have to pay when crossing from Canada to US. But just go over on an empty gas tank and fill up on cheaper US gas and save even more money. Plus I only go over maybe 3 times a year in the last couple years and I have never been sent in to Canada Customs to pay HST or any duties. Last time we were in Ogdensburg for 2 hours claimed over $300 in purchases... and just got a "have a nice day" at the border coming back to Canada.

Yes, you can have one too. It's free it's called Kinek https://www.kinek.com/ . I have a free box set up at the Building Supply Store in Wellesley Island. It's just across the boarder. It costs you 5.00 US or 6.00 CND to pick it up.
