Good morning, digging ourselves out slowly, it wasn't as bad as predicted, I suspect there are many annoyed parents today with children home from school
I clearly remember there used to be a driveway somewhere around here...

I guess we aren't using this gate until spring

I forgot to cover one hedge with netting, guess which one???

LOL, @Ontario Chick , at least your gate will keep the uninvited out ... Ours will be welcoming whatever wants in the until spring: Wide open and buried in snow.

well Mailbox #3 is history. I feel I'm getting to know the Township Maintenance Supervisor quite well! The post is also feeling very unwell since they snapped it off at the weld.

Oh the adventures of the mail boxes, still remember fondly a fall when everybody on the road (well almost everybody) got one of those fancy dark green plastic mailboxes, and I felt somewhat un-neigbourly with out old black metal one, hardly finished the thought when all the green ones were blown to smithereens by the first plow, possibly driven by retired race car driver.

every year (until last year) ours would get backed over by the guy that farmed our land....so far the snowplow has been awesome....so far. however, our box has now started to rust, so i think we will be replacing our in the next few months anyways. but that sucks KB....
found out that my order was indeed almost held up by a natural disaster-apparently the purolator guy almost ended up in the ditch at the end of the road...scared him so he went back home LOL. my bins were delivered yesterday so i set up 2 colonies....yay! but i have found 5 mystery bugs that i don't know what they are....even a good search isn't helping, so i pulled them out and put them into their own little container to see what they do. candled the turkey eggs and only 3 were fertilized, so they better not stop laying in the spring! i have seen the turkeys breeding more the last few days (yeah, the choose the moment that the farrier is trimming the horses to do that....awesome). so hopefully there will be more possibilities for poults coming up! had my 2 year follow up at the surgeon's today. alas, they are still adamant that i should never ride horses again. so i may need to take up driving.....and not wild about me picking up rounds of wood off the ground....lifting heavy from knee height is good, but not off the ground. but everything is where they put it, nothing moved, which is great. i'll be off to get some more injections for some stubborn inflammation that isn't subsiding in there....but that should help. hopefully not too long a wait. so everything is good. @ross i hope your appointment went well too!! and this weekend i'm candling my chicken eggs, and we'll see what's happening there too :-)
