Modifying feed in hot weather

Post by lolotsung » Sat Nov 09, 2024 12:00 pm

So i was reading about modifying feed in hot weather and found this interesting:

feeding coarse diets (large
particle size) increased the gastrointestinal tract development, especially the gizzard and the caeca and reduced heat generation. Coarse
diets increased water retention within their body, which will be available for evaporative cooling and reducing the body temperature

Fasting during the hottest hours

Feed withdrawal for poultry during the hottest hours becomes a common practice worldwide in poultry industry to face heat stress waves. This can decrease the bird’s body temperature and elevate its ability to sustain acute heat stress.

There are poachers trying to get rhino horns and elephant tusks. So the AK 47 assault rifle is for protection because the poachers are very dangerous, not the rhinos or elephants. They were in the area. Normally armed Ranger is not required in the park. This young lady was really badass and only smiled once for the photo. :-)

Let it snow indeed! Just in time for the holidays :)

It's been so cold. and the chickens must be tired of being cooped up in their coop, but they have a little heater in there :) Hubby read about hanging up a cabbage for their entertainment, but the darned thing froze!!!!
