reduced to clear? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Morning all! Its lightly snowing out. I should make another trip to the bush and grab another cord of wood since i didnt get back there the last 2 days.

I have to remove a red cockeral from my 3rd, experimental breeding pen due to a split tail!!! it snuck right up on me. he didnt have one when I put him on there but his tail feathers grew in and bamn. removed from the gene pool. hes one i produced and was almost perfect except for an extra point in his comb.

Luckily I have the other one that was a contender for breeding, so he gets a band, treated, and provided with 2 hens. man its a good thing chickens dont know what goes on behind the scene... he almost lost his head a month ago.

good morning all! slept in...wow.....guess i was worried about that dr appointment, best sleep in a long time! gave my hubby my cold from a couple weeks ago. darn. tried so hard to keep it to myself. as long as he doesn't get strep too.....
snowing lightly. feed store trip today. they messed up the bill last time, and then sent me a bill for 6$ in the mail. that is hardly worth the stamp LOL. especially when i am there every weekend....yes, they misbilled me, happy to pay it, they billed me for a chicken grower instead of turkey starter, so....their mistake. but they always deliver to me free when i need a delivery, so i am not complaining, except that they wasted their money on a stamp!! and envelope...and all that. ah well. life is good.

going to be nice and quiet weekend i think. have some sap to pick up at the trees, and some cleaning to do in the barn. another incubator of turkeys locked down last night for hatching monday....and set another batch last night for a 31st hatch. have to decide if i'm incubating chickens. if surgery is being pushed out in favour of injections then i may as well hatch away....i'm guardedly optimistic. :-) oh, and sweet potato shoots MUST go so if you want some, let me know how to get them to you! i know someone maybe tomK or jaye? was coming london way, but i can't find the message....argh! i can probably arrange to ship too, if i can find some appropriate boxes to put them in.

okay......onwards.....hope everyone has a great weekend without too many surprises (or only good ones). i better go and settle my debt at the feed store before they go bankrupt from the 6$ LOL. oh, and i FINALLY won a coffee on roll up the rim!!!! whoohooo!

Its a snowy morning. I got to do chores. Went out at 7:30am, and got in at 11am. Sigh. Very tired now. Didn't bed the cows yet. Some cat puked up worms yesterday, so all 3 barn cats got a syringe of stuff, and have to do it for 2 more days. So, have to do that too. They got their revolution, same time. Gary got called at 6am, and thought he would be out for one pass. Its still snowing, so I called him, and ended up feeding a bale of hay too. hes not going to be back until it quits, and the roads are safe.

I came in for a coffee, and a snack.

The truck senario just keeps getting better. I can't remember the part for the truck, what its called, but the first week, they told Dave, that they were going to order this part. Apparently, they had some used piece of poop part laying around, that isn't even designed for that truck, and put it in. They were caught in a lie... when yesterday, they told Dave that they were going to order this same part they told him they had already ordered from Ford. When David said "I thought you told me a week ago, you were going to order this part in?". They didn't say much. I mean, HOLY F!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Ok... NO one go to Dicks Transmission at Clappisons Corners in Waterdown. Quite obviously, IF that used part had worked in the truck, they were going to charge him new price for it. I mean, $3400 worth of work on a transmission should have fixed the problem. TWO full weeks now... truck has been in that shop.

I guess now that my blood pressure is up again, I will take advantage of that, and go back and finish chores. GAH!
