Good Morning 2025
Re: Good Morning 2025
Almost everyone in agreement that turkeys are better pets? Are there friendlier turkeys e.g., BSW or are they all friendly?

That’s what I loved about my turkeys, they loved to hang out on my lap or shoulder. Got a bit awkward as they got bigger though!!
Of all the different chickens we had, the Blue Laced Wyandottes and the Hamburgs were my favourites. The Wyandottes were beautiful but really friendly, decent layers and laid back. The Hamburgs are smaller, come in a range of colours (my favourite we’re the greys, silver and gold pencilled) and independent but friendly, and are decent layers. Both did well year round.

[@lolotsung Well done!
I started all my tomatoes, peppers and eggplants in AG's this year. I bought the seed-starter unit for the Harvest (23 pods) and put the tomatoes and eggplants in that. Picture below.
The peppers were grown in a 9 pod Bounty. I actually left the seedlings a little too long in the Harvest and, after 3 weeks, the roots were a foot long and had to be trimmed when I potted them up. The peppers did better - maybe because they had more room to spread out!

I thought skunks ate garbage and bugs. Didn't know they would attack a full grown chicken. Guess they aren't very different from a large rat which would gladly kill a chiken. Maybe my thinking is not right because one of my childhood friends had the cutest smart little skunk (no smell) for a pet
