You bet OC . If you look at feral pigeon the ones that seem to survive air attacks is the one that has a white spot at a rump start of its tail which is what the air predator aims at and the pigeon wiggles and waggles it & it misses . Those ones make it thru natural predator selection & mate to produce more .
Lack of old style barns has an effect on populations of Swallows, bats & rock doves as well .

@ross I was told by a ByLaw city of Ottawa, apparently on the city map GEOOttawa, where it shows in green city property your allowed to discharge a firearm for target practice and hunting, which i knew that, but he also said that, as long as in green " city property " even if im driving back country side and i see pigeons on the road or side of the road as long as not private property, im allowed to hunt?.... im pretty unsure of that and a bit clueless that he said its allowed.
In your opinion, does that make sense?

@Moerab613 post got me interested in the general hunting info available.
On City of Ottawa website there are several areas marked as "hunting permitted " and I live somewhat in the centre of these and very familiar with them.
There is phletora of turkeys and deer also coyotes, but I must say nary a pigeon to be seen.
You may have to consider changing your target

Don’t know there regs but you still have to follow all hunting MNRF hunting regs ie no hunting on / across roads for example & need a small game license & whatever gun license needed . Check regs in MNRF 2021

@ross definitely am targeting different species now, love to find me some grouse and waterfowl before season ends, its just so complex finding crown land to hunt.

Remember the no loaded firearms within 7 meters of the crown of the road.....and no shooting across a roadway.....and if you are shooting crown land and end up needing to get a bird back from private land you will need permission to enter to retrieve the bird....
There are areas of crown land (and a crown land atlas) that you can look up too just remember a lot of crown land is totally open for use, so you wear your orange and watch out for people just out for a walk etc.
