Hey what town in South West Saskatchewan are you from? My parents both grew up there, spent their honeymoon on the train headed to Ottawa for my Dad to take a job with the federal government. Most of my family is still in the area or spread to parts of Sask and AB. I have many fond memories of summers spent in Saskatchewan visiting my grandparents.
My mother grew up on the experimental farm in Swift Current. My father was born in Shaunovan and grew up on a farm near Consul. ( His home town was actually Senate but it has become a ghost town now that the last family that lived there and ran the general store moved on). I have cousins in Maple Creek, and Eastend.
Some of my favourite childhood memories are from summers in the Cypress Hills...I'll never forget the view from Bald Butte, my Dad's favourite place in the whole world.
