Good Morning!
So ugly weather is rolling in... Of course it is... There's a woodlot event in Kemptville.
Anyways, I wish a happy "hump" day and Godspeed to all travelers. (I love that word: a combination of safe and speedy travels; a remnant of the horse and buggy days where "highway robbery" was not uncommon.)

Good Morning!
because. LOL. its nice and sweet and dark and makes a really nice thick juice all around the beans....LOL it's kinda like baked beans with meat as opposed to chili. oh, and the most important reason-we both like it. lolSandyM wrote:QR_BBPOST WLLady, can I ask why the molasses?
i have used brown sugar and soy sauce too....but find it's too salty. so molasses it is. just cook on low so the molasses doesn't bake and burn to the side of the crockpot.

Good Morning!
yum! Soaking my Jacob's Cattle Beans now!! I can hardly wait for tomorrow! Course, won't be able to eat them until late tomorrow, but I will put my crock on high! I also have bacon out, and lots of molasses! I will get some sausage out, and have that with the beans. Good meal to eat alone... Gary will be out plowing/salting... depending.. but he can reheat when he gets in. Thanks guys!
