Lolotsung. No idea why the guitar gets your dog going. Could you get someone to give him treats while you play?
I have an odd (howling) lab who doesn't mind the vaccuum, but goes nuts when she hears other loud sounds such as garbage cans being dragged, cars driving by, etc. Treats help to distract her.

Does anyone have an explanation why my dog is terrified of guitars (similar reaction when I turn on the vacuum) and will sit at my feet sleeping while I'm playing the piano. I'm guessing he hates the sound of guitar for some reason. Also on a musical note, we had a Lab that loved music. If you played any instrument he would sit beside you and howl non-stop.
I’d guess high pitch whine of both hurts ears

Mmmmm I like that theory...he has really good hearing and smell...I'm going to try playing only gentle low notes on the guitar and see what happens...I'm good at playing guitar and piano so I don't think he is picky wrt my musical skills...lol...and also check out the beautiful painting my friend did

OK tried luring him closer with treats. We made progress. I think he's afraid of the object and not the music...

Good afternoon everyone! Yall enjoying the rain or what? Kathy I seen you replying on instant weather, I hear ya got some hail. Allen was watching that hook that was headed your way. He's our local weatherman and been watching all the chaotic tornados in the US over the last few days. Absolute devastation down there.

Oh my goodness we don't need any more water! Everything is a darn lake! Lol but at least we've only had the rain and alot more fortunate that our US neighbors to the south.

How ya been Ross? We've been doing all right the last crazy couple years. Are you still using that treestand I made ya? Mine is still in perfect condition but I've never shot anything from it.

Cheers!
