Living of the land...

Post by Ontario Chick » Sat Jun 11, 2022 12:29 pm

Not yet, but the meat prices made me look at the wildlife in my back yard with a little jaded eye.... ;)

the reason this thought cropped up, is that last couple of days I had to keep dogs on leash walking at the back of property, because on about 4 acres directly behind the fenced paddocks there are 2 deer pretty much most of the day, wild turkey with at least 4 chicks and she looks like she was ready to take on the dog... and yesterday we flushed out a partridge with a flock of babies. Luckily Addy found it surprising and somewhat overwhelming and chose to play a "pointer",
