Chanteclers
Re: Chanteclers
"They are healthy and have good body type. They are not show quality as their combs are not quite up to standard." Since I don't know what the Standard is I think they will be just fine for "Pet Quality" Chanteclers

These are all the eggs for 9 days with 3 pullets. Two pullets are laying in 2 different nest boxes and one is laying in the shavings bag Is this a chantecler thing?

Chanteclers 2 week update
So my chanteclers are not afraid of extremely cold weather but they are afraid? dislike? snow. I thought they were wandering around the property but it turns out they are walking around the coop porch and coop. They did once walk in the snow around the back of the coop. Also I noticed that they all freeze like statues at the same time for about 1 minute. Maybe they hear something potentially dangerous. If I walk and move quickly it scares them so I move around slowly. The cockerel is very alert. He will be a very good protector. None are aggresive to humans or other chickens. So far so good!
