My hubby and I got the vaccine about 3 weeks ago. I signed up at Rexall Bolton (emailed 2 days later), Pharmasave Caledon East (emailed 4 days later), and Shopper's Drug Mart Bolton (have never emailed). So I could be wrong but I think that Shopper's is the most popular and therefore less likely to have the vaccine.

I grew up on a farm near Caledon East. Sandhill actually...on what us now Torbram Road. I love the country side down there.

I'm a bit surprised that there's even a waitlist for AZ appointments ... I didn't have too much trouble booking my appointment when the Ontario Pharmacy Vaccination Pilot program started. I guess it's a combination of limited vaccines available and the age eligibility opening up to pretty much everyone over 40 now. I jumped on the booking site at 8:05 am the first day appointments were opening up for 60 and over(beginning of April) and managed to grab an appointment for DH for last Friday for DH, so he has now had his first Pfizer shot. Tomorrow he starts 6 weeks of radiation treatment, so I'm glad he was able to get his first shot before his next round of "fun" begins.

@Jaye that must be even more stressful then under normal circumstances good thought for you and your DH

in our neighborhood it seems to be AZ at the pharmacies and Pfiser at the community hubs.
Apparently the Drugstores will have to be trained to use the Pfizer, instead of AZ because it needs to be stirred not shaken,(possibly the other way around) oh wait, maybe it was Martini? ;)

No shaking just gentle tilting to mix like most vaccines. You don't want to create a froth.
Best of luck @Jaye to DH. Not the most fun thing.

@Happy Caledon is beautiful! Great place to grow up. Caledon East is a wonderful little town. Yes I know Sandhill and Torbram. :-)
