I really hope that you can stay healthy through this, @kenya . And thank you for being there to help those unfortunate people that Covid has managed to latch on to.

Word is China thought they could now relax a bit.... not so. Proves we have to be diligent for much longer or it will spike a second time.
And I don't think this virus has spiked in Canada, yet.

Well the newest thing is nursing staff refusing to work, I guess legislation will have to force them to work. I understand the fear but it is the career you trained for.

I found out last night at work that there are three cases in Almonte. We share workers with Almonte. One of the shared workers who is a friend is now in quarantine with symptoms. Anxiously waiting on HER test results, because I worked in close contact with her last week. I knew it was coming, but foolishly hoped it would trickle in a little more slowly. Could not get home and into the shower fast enough, even though I know it's too late. I've been careful throughout this whole thing, even sanitizing all the equipment I use, every shift, before I touch it, even though I was never instructed to do so...but now I'm terrified that I've been spreading SARS 2.0 around for the last 6 days. People I love may be about to get very, very sick, or worse. Buckle up, people.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that WWW. Try to stay positive!

I've heard that Vitamin D can help. A study in Italy showed that many of those affected had low levels....

Hoping for the best!

The same here, when I heard about Almonte, my first thought was, that's a bit close....
as if it mattered.
When deciding between Stittsville or Almonte IGA, both the same distance, for our basic supplies , decided on Almonte because
a) it's on the way to feed store and b) assumed more people from Stittsville have been a traveling then Almonte.
Foolish way to try to reason out things.
I have not been out of the house since Feb 28, but will have to go out eventually, and now wondering if waiting a bit longer will make the situation better or worse, or if me going out will just add to the problem?

Personally sooner the better OC if need be . This I figure won’t be better for a loooong time . The grocery store workers will wear out & only p/u at door if ordered & lines will start . My thoughts .LUCK ALL

On the good side some reports out of the US are saying that some people who were infected have very few symptoms and almost didn't realise the had it.

To those who are frightened to go grocery shopping, have you thought about shopping online and picking it up outside the store? We are going to try that at Loblaws on Wednesday. There's a bit of a wait (5 days when last I looked), but I'm hoping that it will be safer than having to go inside...….
