Incubator troubles

Post by Gone Country Farms » Mon Feb 08, 2016 7:24 pm

Hi guys I have a hova bator model 2365 styrofoam ever since I bought it it wouldn't get up to temp or hold it. I have got it up to 99.5 but once I add water for humidity it drops way down like to 70 degreess. I'm thinking it needs a new wafer? What do you guys think?

Yeah wafer not operating properly: replace and or make sure nothing obstructing it. I got a machine and a wire was loose and touching wafer and temp was unstable.

Also helps if room temp is very stable. No direct sun, or better yet run it in the basement.

When you add water the temperature will drop anyway but it should stabilise later. Check your temp vs humidity chart.
