That price has to be a mistake???!!!
Last winter and the winter before, firewood prices skyrocketed because everyone ran out early, and it was SO cold for so long. Woodcutters had loads of work they hadn't counted on, and because people were desperate, some started gouging. We weren't going to sell firewood last year, but ended up doing it because people we knew were begging us to, they couldn't afford the 110-150 a cord that many were charging, especially when that can disappear in less than a week when it's -30 out. There is NO good reason for the price on that tank cage. But, if they can get that much, more power to them, and hopefully the people who pay that much don't reproduce to pass on their stupid.

We should be smarter than we are but we're not. Short term thinking- and we sometimes engage in bad judgement (i shouldn't have another slice of pie but...)
There's a whole business out of taking advantage of human weakness... advertising... And an MBA course at Queen's on Behaviourial Finance: how we behave with money. Some of us are suckers to hear what we want to hear... Look at the Republican candidates... Donald Trump looks like he'll win the nomination!

Perhaps it's in preparation for Half Price sale?
Local IGA has started an interesting Sale technique.
On a large Red sticker ....." GREAT PRICE " milk $ 5.49 in a small print, regular price $6.29
all the old stickers beside on both sides.... milk $ 5.49
I can't even think that counts as false advertising, it's more, "lets see just how stupid our customers are"???

Sounds like they're getting ready to jack up the price. I've seen a similar technique - Price Freeze - in other stores. After the Price Freeze time period specified is over, the price goes up.

$110 to $150 for a full bush cord Jan? That is an absolute great price!! I sell split mixed fire wood for $50 per 1/4 bush cord and everybody that buys from me says that they are getting a great deal and love it. Pete.
