Goshawk

Post by Killerbunny » Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:57 am

I think it is an immature Goshawk from the distinctive eye stripe and tail markings, splotchy plumage. It wasn't very happy with me at this point. Quite large enough to take a chicken!

I have had adults here in the past and I put a picture of a juvenile in Lansdowne after turkeys last January.
Attack!
I even had the camera ready LOL! Once we came on a wolf in ALgonquin park and never took a pic because all I could see were beautiful yellow eyes. It stayed for maybe 2 mins with DH nudging and saying "camera, camera!"
