Seed potatoes

Post by WLLady » Sun Jan 12, 2020 10:27 pm

Where does everyone get their seed potatoes from? I'm looking to grow a couple of new varieties this year.....I usually just get the norlands, yukon golds and Kennenbec at the local feed store. But, was thinking I might try the german butterball or something like that this year as a treat....However, good old google search seems hell bent on giving me all the growers in BC or alberta. was hoping to find someone in ontario (and maybe even someone on the forum if there's anyone) that i could support instead.

I will be growing Caribes, Kennebecs and those multicoloured ones I got from Muffin. You could check with her, I know she grows seed potatoes.

Not sure if this is helpful, but Burt's Greenhouse in Odessa usually has a good variety of seed potatoes. They ship sweet potatoes slips all over, pretty sure they could ship potatoes.

H. Perron formerly Dominion has a few not so common varieties.

I generally use Eagle Creek or Sage Garden but they are both from the West.
