of course there are.....
this morning there was a discussion what would be a better direction to take for a "doggie" walk
To the back, snow somewhat melting and messy, uneven footing ...
or down the driveway and on the road, foggy and wet.

It now appears that the path back is a snowy slushy quagmire,
and the driveway is ice covered with running water, so explained to dog that not much is going to happen in a way of a walk in any foreseeable future.

Thank you @poultry_admin for fixing the PTO e-mail, I was wondering what was missing in my life in the New year, it was the ding of an e-mail in my mail box, announcing something happening on PTO :PTO:

@Jaye and @Ontario Chick Thanks for the plans! I decided to start on it right away, before my coops flow away on their own.

The weather has passed us now. Some freezing sleet last night at bed time, then very high winds for about an hour in the night. We seem to have a coating of frozen sleety snow about a quarter inch. Temp about -2. Moon is out bright. Will see what the day brings, but we have escaped anything serious here.

Hope you in the more easterly parts escape anything serious. Cath just called me and there is a warning about the Pickering Nuclear plant, I hope that is not serious. My own thoughts are that nuclear is far from perfect, but it is our best source of future power.

Peachy is still broody, locked her up again last night and will keep her no food or water til tomorrow morning. Last time I didn't leave it long enough. She actually laid an egg in confinement, and I thought maybe I had mad a mistake. Still not screaming at me when I come near, so I am still wondering, but when she is all fluffed up and spread out and keeps tucking the golf balls underneath, she is going to the breaker pen.

Not to worry about the Pickering warning, @Farrier1987 - turns out the alert was sent out in error.

Click on the "settings" in there.
If it shows "Notifications forely disabled" it's in your browser setting.
Otherwise you will have a "Enable?" in the text above the table.
