So sweet! Have you tried feeding it some scrambled egg? I have also sprinkled debittered Brewer's yeast on their crumble for the first week as an extra B vit boost when I had chicks in the brooder.

Well, I saw some unhappy feet on that one, mother nature knows best.
They look like such fun birds, how is their temperament?

Yes, Hana..it had bad feet...i knew it wouldnt make it but let nature take its course...as to temperament on the rest, buncha scardy cats at the moment...real squawkers when i pick them up but nice otherwise..the parents are much the same...now i wait and see how the gender blend turns out on this bunch...fingers crossed

Aww, that's too bad. Good thing you have 13 happy healthy little ones to make losing one a little easier.

As promised, altho long overdue, i moved the young set out to the brooder pen in the coop..flighty bunch but growing fast and healthy...so far i could make out 3 cockerals...but who knows for sure anyway till they crow..those head heathers and muffs hide all the features....

Look at all those little beauties! The one front and to the right looks a little like a cockerel ... is that one of the ones you thought was one already? The one behind it might also be a cockerel. The one right at the back directly behind that one looks to be a pullet to me, but like you say, hard to tell with this breed - until close to maturity sometimes.
Actually, now that I look at the one front a bit more, it may be a pullet too. I guess you'll find out soon enough. ;-)
