Rescues ..

Post by ross » Mon Jun 24, 2019 10:26 am

20 yrs ago a cockatiel flew into a wild bird feeder of customer where I worked . No band to trace . We rescued him . Named him Mikey cause of tv commercial where Mikey ate everything . Awhile back a budgie flew into the arms of a neighbour lady in her garden . We rescued him . Named Blue cause of colour & he flew in out of the blue . Again no band put in local FB no claimer . After time in isolation pen put him in with Mikey in a very large indoor aviary . Now sorting out pecking order .Happy Ending . We used to raise both . 🤠

Personally I was waiting for Mikey to go , not that I’m rushing him , but flight would go to barn & I could put my work desk down there . Old cockatiels are hard to find homes for & live long time . Took Mikey’s mirror out now that he has a bunky .
