Apparently, there is a very fine line between a useful tool and a useless tool, and FB has crossed the line, repeatedly. Trying to buy or sell animals on there was a bit of a show even before the ban on animal sales, as all the human useless tools tend to pop out of the woodwork to make the experience miserable. Oh well, we somehow survived before FB, and we will be just fine if it drops off the radar.
