Wow - bird free I am - and thinking of the next birds. then I went out to the coop - gotta do it right this time. Gotta build serious moveable tractors - and a serious pen for pheasants and peafowl.

Ontariochick - gotta come by and take a few pics

Diligently follow the path of two swords as one. Percieve that which the eye cannot see. Seek the truth in all things. Do not engage in useless activity.

Good morning, sort of, floods are upon the neighborhood, so dampish basement seems nothing to complain about, my heart goes out to those who are battling the elements to save their houses. The 50 year flood seems to have become semi-annual.

Had a close encounter with a wild turkey hen yesterday morning, driving along our country road it came to my attention that I am in a race with a turkey, which is keeping up valiantly on the road shoulder with my truck, but wearing towards the actual roadway, I slowed down on a pretty slick road as much as I could and it was pretty obvious collision was inevitable and she was going to hit around my right front tire, when in the last second she lifted and just cleared the hood AND the roof of the truck, I might have said "Thank you" to the turkey, I really appreciated not having to pick feathers out of the grill.

Aww, I am so jealous, all I have is one broody hen sitting on 4 dud eggs, while I am madly eating omelets, hoping to find andcollect enough fertile eggs to stick under her, before she looses interest.

Picked up my order from performance poultry yesterday. The ride seemed a lot longer than I anticipated, but I finally made it home around midnight with a box full of cuties. I had someone sharing an order with me, so after meeting up in a parking lot on a pitch black night at 11:30 to pull some out for him, I realized that next time I really shouldn’t get all chicks that look exactly alike...
