Please don't hate me for this (or take away my Citizenship) but we stopped drinking Timmies coffee around 10 years ago when the quality declined so badly. Now we drink McDs (black of course). The ad where they are teaching the poor coffee farmers in south America to grow coffee "properly" and more to "our" taste just blew me away.

I’m with you on this @Killerbunny!
I’ve never been a Tim Hortons fan and only go there if desperate. The last straw was stopping at one in Toronto several years ago and them not taking Interac, only MasterCard or cash neither of which we had, so we left without anything and drove down the street to a nice little Indian restaurant instead.

No Tim's for me for a long time except when prevailed upon by others. And especially since they went to their dark blend. If in town and in need, McD's is good coffee.

I used to be a die-hard Timmies drinker. I will still drink it in a pinch but will opt for McDonalds before Tim's. Truthfully I don't like giving either of those fake food empires any of my money.

Yep, I just started drinking coffee and I would rather go without than drink a Tim Hortons. Look at me! I am snooty!

Re: A mornin chuckle, really..
for fast drive through coffee, Mcd’s is our first choice (too bad its not fast). I left Tim’s back on an April night in 1994. I can say it with accuracy as I got married in 1996, and the years 1994 and 1995 I was a Dominos manager in Kingston. Some driver always got coffees around 10pm and we didn’t make coffee in the store (in case a glass pot broke, all open food had to be tossed).
I got coffee one eve, and the next there was a notice up that prices were raised due to a frost in Brazil. It was clear between that eve and the next the coffees tasted different - they had a blend one notch lower in quality/price. Tim’s has been a last choice for coffee ever since.
Kingston - aaahhh I miss that town - and the Chez Piggy coffee blend from Cooke’s.
by the way - the secret to the coffee is the water. Tim’s and McD’s have a top quality filter for drinking use.
