Tom, if you really want Maurice, I will take the cochin rooster off your hands...then at least you won't have an ADDITIONAL rooster, right? I've been thinking that I need some hairy legged chickens running around here, anyway, and I'd hate to see him become stew

Just snapped these. Maurice is using my leg as a perch right now. He enjoys human contact and chooses to be near us when able. He has not made one aggressive move towards people ever. He’s segregated in his own pen now because he’s trying to do what roosters do and it’s not going over very well here.

I drove Maurice to his new home this morning. As we drove in I rhymed off all of the animals I was seeing. Horses, Alpacas, ducks, peacocks, puppies.... I told Maurice he won the lottery! I wanted to stay there with him lol. I received pictures of him this aft being cuddled and eating watermelon. He’s the luckiest mutt cockerel ever

Sounds like he did indeed win the lottery. Some cockerals are so beautiful but end up as someones lunch cause you just get so many not everyone finds a good home.

Re: Easter Egger cockerel
The world only needs so many roosters so I’m always very grateful to find a home for one. I have one more to find a home for this year. My two OEGB brothers will stay so long as Sherman doesn’t mind (and so far he doesn’t seem to be bothered) but if I need to rehome them I already have a taker.
