Tomatos, Show and tell...

OK, I was in a hurry, whipped thru garden section, picked one of each the most peculiar sounding Tomato plants, beside the usual Sweet 100 - 1000 ? which are the only tomatoes I actually like to eat off the plant, and I must say there are some surprises....
Sorry not in color yet, Bush Champion indeed looks like a bush, possibly a bouquet with all the tomatoes clumped in the centre..

and San Marzano, Italian tomato apparently best for sauces.. looks somewhat bizarre

I'm growing 31 plants this year, all grown from seed, 20 different varieties.

Here's Early Annie, which is a red saladette, compact variety, grown in a 3 gallon pot. I started two in mid-Feb and we've been eating them for a month now :).

we have ate a couple but i have no idea what they were... im not in charge of the garden n have no idea whats in it. i just water it every night so i still have something to do with it.

the one i had with my lunch today was green with yellow stripes. no idea what it was called but i wasnt expecting it to be so incredibly sweet and juicy.

i will have to get Lizzie on here to explain what she has going on. lets try this @HappyHomesteader come tell us whats in the garden. HAHA

she tells me its called a green zebra and she had 1 more I was able to take a couple pics of. its not very big but probably absolutly perfect for a BELT. maybe 2 1/2". you know they have a very unique taste its almost like they are salted. i like them and attempted to save some seeds, then I seen the price at Baker Creek. https://www.rareseeds.com/green-zebra-tomato/

we did not grow much from seed... next year. but she got them wherever they were reduced to clear. we also have pineapple, beef stake, early girl and cherry. they are all in bloom and most have tomatos on them but only the zebras are ready.

I grew Green Zebra cherry one year and the plant was a MONSTER. That was the year that hubby used skimpy wood for my trellis and I decided to hang double the amount of maters from it. (I string them up, greenhouse style). There was a storm and the whole lot came crashing down . I decided to pull Green Zebra, because it was everywhere. It was the size of 5 regular plants!

I have been growing 'green zebra' for the last few years...i like them a lot and always save seed for next year..only thing negative i can say about them and this may well be my own personal thing, but the fruit seems to come on all at the same time so be ready for it...nice eating tomato tho...

i grow a variety named 'Ernie's Plump' which is a serious fave of mine...awesome tomato...wish i had a picture but I got my garden in a little late this year so they are just in flower now...except for the 'Banana Legs'...that one is in full fruit just about ready to ripen...
