Yes, I've got a bunch of Bronze turkey and Orpington duck eggs due! Most are already out, I think there's only one or two eggs left to go. And still have 10 poults, a gosling, and half a dozen chicks in the house. and more goslings, magpie ducklings and chickens hatching this week and next.

Ha! Ha! You'll get no help here probably just an offer of more fertile eggs.

Silkies and sizzles...I hope! The person who shipped them to me did a crappy job! 5 broken or cracked eggs. They were shipped from Hamilton....I've had eggs shopped from Alberta without so much as a crack. We'll see in about 3 weeks

Try sealing the cracked ones with a little candle wax, they may make it.

Re: Hi, my name is Jan...
I bought a dozen shipped eggs once. Two were badly cracked, and all the rest had separated air cells. I let them rest for 3 days, but only two settled. I tried incubating them all anyway, and surprisingly, all showed development except one...but none of them made it past day 10. I swore I'd never buy shipped eggs again, and furthermore, would never attempt shipping my own! Every egg is precious to me, either as a potential new chicken or as potential breakfast lol. So when Farrier asked for some eggs in trade for some berry plants, I stewed and sweated but finally decided to pack a dozen up and send them off. Made them as cozy as I could to try and survive the soccer players at Canada Post, and Farrier reported on May 28 that they arrived, all seemingly intact, and he put them all under his broody hen. Now I'm sweating and stewing waiting for hatch day, envisioning a dozen rotten egg bombs under his poor hen. One more week to go, but I don't know if my heart can take it!
