Got my seeds!

Post by Bayvistafarm » Sat Jan 23, 2016 5:33 pm

I'm itching to get stuff planted... so tomorrow I think I will start some of my petunia's and geraniums. Those suckers can take 5 months before flowering. I WANT to start some peppers... but will wait until mid Feb. for those, although I have started them in January before. I bought some hot pepper seeds, with a scoville rating of 1,500,000 Yup.. over a milllion and a half!! I have a bottle of hot pepper sauce made out of them, and let me tell you... just a smidgen of a taste on your finger, is too hot. The guys love it!! LOL. I think I will start a couple of them tomorrow.. they are supposed to get 5 feet tall!! Maybe not in my climate, but starting them early won't hurt them.

I am testing some seed I left in a box last year, and found out the elderly cat in this house was pissing in the box. Stupid cat. The seeds look fine... but you never know. I forgot I put a plate up on top of the cabinet in this room, where its warm from the woodstove... and looked at it today, and wondered why I put a plate up there.

Da. Getting old sucks. I think I will go look at it....

OMG... cucumber seeds between damp paper towel... smells like the most disgusting water vase flower pot water, plus more.

Guess I will ditch the seeds. All of them. Ugh.

Was so excited on friday-my veseys order was in! Opened it up and they didnt ship 1/2 my order through an error. Been buying seed from them for 15+ years and this is the first oops. So called them saturday...they sais they will sort it out monday. Nice folks there. Very helpful. Wasnt thinking of planting anything except the sweet potato shoots anyways - and those i started myself. But just having the box come means spring is coming!!

Shirley those peppers will be amazing!!! Yep..if we see the nuclear explosion cloud i will know marv dave and gary are in Trouble. Lol

They are actually MORE than 1,500,000 rating!! I bought the bottle of the ginger pineapple flavoured... ummm, good, but can only have a wee taste, lol.

I have TONS of peppers I am going to start again. Love fresh peppers from the garden. Better than apples.
