Hey folks-birthdays are listed at the bottom of the forum index page-the first forum page after the front page. Scroll down past the stats at the bottom and they are listed there. Also the person with the birthday will get a birthday cake smilie in their avatar section on each post.

Windy here. Temp dropping again. Feed run soon and then in for the day. My turkeys are breeding so i need to get the pairs separated which means putting up some wire...will putter away at that slowly today.

Changed legbands on my upcoming breeders....theyre shaping up nicely-especially the rhodebars.

We have had problems with a wandering dog from one concession over. A huge intact mutt of some type-male of course. So now theres are at least 2 pregnant girls in the neighbourhood...man, their owner (of the girls) is ticked-she sells purebred labs and will lose an entire year...she only does one litter per breeder per year to keep condition on her moms. This dog also eats small livestock-i lost 2 layers and now keep all my birds closed in. They have lambs on the ground right now....animal control has talked to them 3 times now and the thing is still running at large. Gah. So tempting to try and catch it and turn it in to chatham or london!! Some people. The thing has obviously figured out how to get by their shock fence. So i will be on the lookout today to make sure its not harassing my horses....sss is all i can think....

Good Morning...I think, so far we had snow, then the styrofoam bits, then rain and now back to snow.
About 1/3 of the Wyandotte flock is still in some stages of molt, it's time to sit down in the pen and take stock of the ages of birds that are molting to see if it's age related and what I am looking at is a slow aging of the troops.
There may be some lovely chicken soup stock happening next year. ;)

Autumn always hatches big batches of eggs from me and last year got a "big" incubator, perhaps chicks from Autumn?
Not sure if she made the transition to PTO...
I can get you her e-mail if you want.
Would be happy to trade hatching eggs for one of those beautiful cutting boards. ;)

I'd rather eggs this time ... But if I can't source eggs than I'll reach out for chicks.
It's more of a timing issue for me .,. Silkie broody need eggs, Silkie not broody, no eggs.

I could offer up my sweet little incubators to help you out Tom. Get the eggs here, my girls perform their magic and taaaadaaaa!

My turn to enable.
