I'm terrified but even a DQ is useful information. There's no way I can wash the turkeys I just hope I have some in decent condition. I will also be deaf by the time I get there with them chatting away constantly. The show is awesome and worth going to for the birds. LOVED the serama tabletop show too, hope there's one this year. My bird sitter is booked!
we had a bunch of turkeys in the back of my golf coming home from BVF one day. Was fun to see the people's reactions as they pass us on the 401 :yay:

Making it dark for the roosters works for me. That way they don't make a lot of noise. Will try it with the turkeys next time...

My flights are booked, hotel booked, car rental booked. Now to wait and book birds into live cargo. Lets hope there is room on the plane.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I am hoping to bring a pair at least. Just waiting to see how everyone is growing out.
Time is the factor.
I had a skunk take out my early hatched birds. So i just have the April May hatch to select from.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, I went out last night and plucked the sickles from my moulting cock bird and rubbed his legs down with sulphur and Vaseline to help the scales moult. He's got eight weeks to grow them back. I doubt I'll have any cockerels old enough, but hopefully some pullets will be big enough. Baths ,pampering, and pen training will start Labor Day. It would be a lot of fun to see Buckeyes and Dominiques at OPB.

This will be my first OPB show. I am excited! The suspense is killing me wondering if any one is going to have the same chickens as me. Killerbunny, I am interested in starting a flock of Beltsville turkeys. Will you be bringing any for sale? Maybe a trio? I am also interested in purchasing Polish birds. If any one is bringing any that will be available for sale please let me know. See you all on the weekend.

Wow I would love to go to this, why was I not paying better attention. I love down in that area. I should have made plans for a day or three and went down. Just the butt numbing eight hour drive scares me lol. Please someone get lots of pictures, lots and lots of chicken pictures.
