A Conservation Area is a great idea! Belwood is 2 hours and 51 mins or 263 kms and im good with that! I've drove almost as far for some of my birds :-)

Bellwood looks good from my end too! It would take me about an 1.5-2 hours for me to get there. I'm like Ross.... you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming at gun point to drive thru Toronto anywhere. I absolutely despise stupid drivers and traffic jams. Really, I shouldn't be driving a bus..... and all the jerks who pull all kinds of crap when I'm on the road.... well.... better just stop right here, lol.

There use to be a few decent pike in Belwood Lake years ago, if I remember correctly. I was there once or twice years ago.

Belwood is 450 km each way from my place.... a bit of a drive, but KB's husband and I drove further than that to pick up the Beltsville turkeys last spring, and I have made 3 other trips further than that in the last year to pick up birds and eggs. So no problem, I can do that drive, with my boat it tow.

Man I just realized I have made four 1000 km plus road trips in less than a year to pick up birds and eggs, I have a problem. lol

roflmbo No worries JimW, I work with two colleagues who travel that every second weekend in the summer for their son's baseball! One bought a new car last spring, it's out of warranty now (over 80k). You have a LOOOOOOOOOONG way to go yet..... :jumpy:
