And they all happily trooped in to bed! I don't have to worry about yotes now.

Fans: I don't have heavy duty farm fans, just a big ole table fan, which needs to be cleaned off A LOT (like every other day), but hey, it works to get air moving inside the coop. Better than nothing.

This is a pair of HD computer fans and boy do they shift some air. I was surprised.

I found a whole pile of slugs hiding under a board. I couldn't be bothered to pick them all up (yuck) for the chickens, so had a bright idea. I grabbed Lucky, lowest in the pecking order, and carried her out of the run and showed her the board. She cleaned them up :) She even seemed to understand when I pointed to ones that she missed. It wasn't fair to the others, but it was quick and slime-less for me :)

Just watch that dust buildup does not combust .

Yes, that's why I clean off the blades and blow out the housing with my little leaf blower every couple of days. Not ideal, but it gives the birds some relief. And I'm only using it until this coming Thursday, because that's when it's supposed to cool down - or so everyone keeps telling me ...

This strange weather has the bull frogs croaking away in the pond.

Keeping my interactions with the turkeys to a minimum in this heat. Whenever they see me they come running over at full speed! Just hope I don't lose any. If I'm not around they settle and rest.

I had just cleaned my fans out 2 days before the one quit....maybe it needed the insulation of the dust lol
