No, she hasn't paid since late Spring, unless she was hiding a nest somewhere, which is possible because her comb was a good shade of red before it went purpley. Definitely not currently laying though and is molting a little, so I'm hoping she won't lay anymore this year. I'm not sure if the drain on her body's resources would harm her further.

C.C. has taken a sudden turn for the worse today. She's posturing, it's her time. I'm going to miss her yelling at me when I'm late with her supper :/

I am just catching up on this now....the full abdomen is ascites and that seals it for me-heart issues. I am sorry its her time, but glad she got to live her days with you!!!
