12 babies wow the most I've seen is 5. We had one living in our crawl space with 3 babies one summer. It left when the food supply dried up. I was pleased in some ways as it ate up a huge wasp nest, ate up all my slugs and snails. It had always been a constant battle with them. But the neighbours and their dogs all got sprayed ; my own dog I always took her out on a leash. My dog was a red neck princess and would have grabbed that skunk in a heartbeat and then brought it back to us for show and tell.

Nice surprise today. # 12 the little one with the severely pecked eye, opened her eye today and it's still there. Looks like she can see a little too. I ad just let it dry and "heal" and used poly eye drops to stop infection with no attempt to open it. Hope "she" continues to recover.

Good morning! Ready for a sunny day here; don't need anymore rain for a while. The ground needs time to absorb all the wetness.
Looking above at a few posts... yup, we trapped 6 or 7 skunks early this spring when they were starting to venture out. They were doing a group winter den thing under our front porch.
